Meet
Chifafa's Japanese Chins |
|

We have always admired this beautiful breed and we have friends who show & breed
with these delightful and affectionate dogs hailing from the Land of
the Rising sun. Our love for these companion dogs, who are happy little
characters with a down-to-earth, yet bumptious personality, grew considerably
and before we knew it we owned three Japanese Chins!
The Japanese Chin is a small, friendly and effectionate companion, one
who is alert, spirited and naturally clean. Added to this, the breed
is enormously good-looking. This very special little dog is a gentle
breed that gets on well with anything, and one that has understandably
won its into many people's hearts.
The Japanese did not allow these dogs to walk in the streets, they were
carried in beautiful straw baskets when taken outdoors and some ancient
sources revealed that some Chins were kept in hanging baskets, much like
caged birds! Japanese ladies would dress them up with in cerise-coloured
ribbons, with frills around the neck. They were very proud of their little
sweet pets, which made them the envy of all their friends.
That surely is sufficient to wet your appetite's like it did to us to
learn more about this charming little canine that hails from the Orient. |
