We are Chifafa Long Coat Chihuahuas (Occasional Papillons & Japanese Chins). We are devoted to our dogs and regard them as an essential part of our daily lives, their health and happiness comes above all else. They have rewarded us with much love and happiness and settled into our hearts so deeply that home would not be home without these precious, lively and amusing dogs. They have a saucy expression, dancing feet allowing us to chuckle at their amusing activities.

Chifafa was registered with the Kennel Union of Southern Africa (KUSA) in August 2002 (our membership no. 152267). We are based in Johannesburg, South Africa and are members on the commitee of The Chihuahua Club of Southern Africa. Our Chifafa mission is to produce healthy, quality dogs, that conform as closely as possible to the Breed Standard thereby preserving this irreplaceable breed.

What a Chihuahua means to us at Chifafa:
Cheeky, extrovert, and full of life. The Chihuahua may be the smallest breed in the world but has the biggest personality!

We have become actively involved with showing our dogs and it's an activity both enjoyed by ourselves and the dogs. Certain dogs dislike being shown and would be better described as being a pet quality dog. Pet quality dogs are in no way less health or attractive but may have undesirable features as described in the breed standard which would be faults in the show ring, these so-called "flaws" are detectable only by experienced breeders or show judges. As we consider our Chihuahuas to be part of our family home environment, we would expect nothing less from any family wanting to adopt any of our puppy dogs and we would therefore carefully screen any interested adopter's.

The log cabin has been practically laid out for both the dogs and ourselves, it consists of a large lounge, grooming area, baby nursery and lots of warm beds on our heated tiled floors all decorated in our Chifafa theme thus creating a sense of warmth and tranquility for us all.

In our Log Cabin we have our "brag" walls of fame, photo doggie dividers, another wall coverred by a photo library of all our dogs.

We have also erected wooden wendy houses filled with soft blankets, beds and toys allowing our dogs to safely romp around and enjoy a good night's sleep in their own safe haven. Visitors and friends are welcome into our log cabin where you can escape into our Chifafa World of Chihuahuas.
